Open Citizen Science: fostering open knowledge with participation

Citizen Science or community science has been around for a long time. The scope of involvement in initiatives ranges from short-term data collection to intensive engagement delve into research topic together with scientists and/or other volunteers. Although many volunteer researchers have academic training, it is not prerequisite participation projects. It important adhere scientific standards, which include, above all, transparency regard the methodology and public discussion results, open educational resources (OER).
